WCCH Sets Date for Annual Christmas Parade

Wytheville, VA – The Annual Wytheville Christmas Parade has rolled through downtown for many years.  It's a holiday tradition in Wytheville and serves as the official welcome parade for the Christmas season.  Join us Friday, November 30 at 6:00 p.m. as we watch the magic begin and an ordinary street turns into something very special. “Christmas on Spring Street” is the theme for this year’s event and Wythe County Community Hospital is once again honored to coordinate and sponsor this event.

West Main Street will once again be our starting point for line up, but with an extra twist in the route.  Due to the construction that is currently making its way through Main Street, the parade route will make its way down Spring Street and will be completed at the end of Spring and 11th Streets.

Last year we had over 100 entries to include marching bands, walking characters, antique vehicles, religious and civic groups, motorcycle riders and horse riders and many more participants.  We are planning for that many again this year.  Registration forms are available at the hospital volunteer desk, chamber office, WYVE/WXBX radio station, Family Community Newspaper or by clicking the link above.

We thank the Town of Wytheville and the Wytheville Police Department for their assistance with this event.   The deadline for entries is November 28.  Please contact Betty Elmore, Director of Marketing at 276-625-8812 with any questions.
