Volunteers Donate Rockers/Gliders to Women's Center
October 4, 2016
The Volunteers of Wythe County Community Hospital recently donated Hill-Rom Perinatal Rocker/Gliders with cushions to the Women’s Center.
"The addition of these rocker/gliders to our LDRP rooms complements the patient experience," states Rhoda Charr, Director of Women’s Services.
"The Volunteers are so pleased to be able to help purchase this new furniture," says Betty Gallimore, volunteer president. "Through our fundraising efforts we hope to help enhance the health care offerings available in our community."
Auxiliary members serve the local hospital in many capacities; among those are welcoming and greeting guests and patients, operating the hospital gift shop and holding various events to raise money to support the hospital. Annual events sponsored by the Auxiliary include the jewelry show and various raffles through the year.
The WCCH Auxiliary is currently seeking more volunteers. Volunteers contribute the number of hours they desire to work, and their service to our hospital, patients and community is most appreciated.
