Wythe County Community Hospital will become the provider of choice for primary, secondary and community based health care for selected communities in Southwest Virginia by developing locally accessible, high quality, low cost services that are valued by patients, physicians and network partners. To achieve its vision, Wythe County Community Hospital will:  Expand local access to care - Through successful medical staff development efforts, we will expand access to care within the communities we serve by introducing carefully selected new programs and services.Develop strategic alignments - We will establish relationships with other health care providers to ensure our continued economic success in a health care market increasingly dominated by managed care.Manage quality and costs - We will achieve excellence in health care service delivery to meet the unique needs of the communities we serve continually emphasizing effective resource management.Innovate - We will implement innovative solutions to our communities' health problems placing emphasis on disease prevention and health maintenance to ensure a healthier future for those we serve.Collaborate - We will further strengthen teamwork in governance, management, and care delivery activities in order to address complex problems in a timely and effective manner.Coordinate - We will work with civic leaders and political leaders to strengthen the economic base of our community, enhancing our role as corporate citizens and stewards of a vital community resource.In the midst of change, we will nurture a shared vision with the community for a healthful quality of life and continue our long tradition of providing compassionate care for those in need. |
