The Wythe County Community Hospital Auxiliary is a community group dedicated to providing service to the hospital and its patients. Over the years, the Auxiliary has given tremendous financial support to various Hospital projects such as redecoration of patient rooms, refurbishment of the lobby and Extended Care activity rooms, and purchase of many types of patient care equipment. The Auxiliary helped implement the Lifeline program, a hospital-based personal emergency response program designed for elderly and disabled people who may be living alone and who are considered "at risk." The Auxiliary operates the gift shop, transports patients, delivers cards, flowers and gifts and provides information to visitors. Junior Volunteer Program
The Auxiliary also has a strong Junior Volunteer Program which is in full swing each summer. Juniors range in age from 13 on up and can apply for the program through their school counselors in the spring of each year. They begin working as soon as school is out, and they participate in all the activities that the regular Auxiliary members are involved in.

Gift Shop
The Auxiliary is responsible for the hospital Gift Shop which is open from 9:00AM - 5:00PM six days a week and on Saturday from 10:00AM - 2:00PM. The Gift Shop has a wide assortment of gift ideas and baby items as well as the ever popular Beanie Babies. All funds from the Gift Shop go back into the community in the form of scholarships for hospital personnel.
