Wythe County Community Hospital Welcomes First Baby of 2020
January 2, 2020
Wythe County Community Hospital is ringing in 2020 with the year’s first bundle of joy. Weighing 8 pounds and 3.4 ounces and measuring 20.5 inches, Myla Evangeline Davies was born to Aron and Deanna Davies on Wednesday, January 1, at 12:47 PM.
“ ‘Lo, children are a heritage of the Lord, and the fruit of the womb is his reward.’- Psalm 127:3. We decided to do something differently this time and not find out the gender of our sixth child,” said Deanna Davies. “Not only was it exciting to get the big reveal in the delivery room, it was also a treat to have Myla be the first baby of the New Year and New Decade at WCCH! Our other children were on pins and needles, awaiting news of what “Bump” (our nickname for Myla the last 9 months) would be, and were quite happy to welcome her into the family. I’m so thankful for a healthy pregnancy and uncomplicated delivery. What a way to celebrate a New Year!”
