Wythe County Community Hospital Welcomes First Baby of 2019

Wythe County Community Hospital is ringing in 2019 with the year’s first bundle of joy. Weighing 6 pounds and 9.9 ounces and measuring 20.2 inches, Johanna was born to April and William Gochnour on Tuesday, Jan.1, at 2:02 a.m.
“We are so excited to meet our new baby girl!” said April, “The physicians, nurses and staff at WCCH all helped to make this such a special and memorable experience for us, and we are so grateful for the wonderful care our family received.”   
Wythe County Community Hospital Women’s Center is committed to providing high quality, compassionate care close to home for new and expecting parents in the region. The Center offers maternity professionals includes board-certified obstetrician/gynecologists, whom you can choose to help deliver your baby.  The Staff of the Women’s Center are compassionate and dedicated to providing families with an exceptional birthing experience.

Dr. William T. Kilgore, MD was the attending physician and Dr. Matthew Aney was the attending pediatrician.  A gift basket was presented to the mother and baby by Joseph Wilkins, CEO, Theresa Dix, CNO and Kimberly Purvis, director of Women’s Center.
