Theresa Dix
Chief Executive Officer
Theresa H. Dix, MSN, RN, CPPS, brings more than 43 years of healthcare experience to her role as Chief Executive Officer of Wythe County Community Hospital. Throughout her career, she has been committed to improving patient care, supporting healthcare teams, and creating safer experiences for patients and their families.
Theresa earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from King College in Bristol, Virginia, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2009. She later earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University and again graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2016.
Over the years, Theresa has built a career centered on quality, safety, and service. She is a Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) and maintains her Multi-State Privilege Nursing License.
Today, Theresa leads Wythe County Community Hospital with a commitment to clinical excellence, innovation, and community-focused care. She believes strong hospitals are built through collaboration, accountability, and a shared dedication to improving the health and well-being of the communities they serve.
Tim Anderson
Chief Nursing Officer
Tim brings more than three decades of nursing and healthcare leadership experience in community-based settings. He has held senior leadership roles across the region, most recently as Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer at a 206-bed acute care facility, where he oversaw a wide range of clinical services and led significant quality, patient safety, and operational improvements. Throughout his career, Tim has been recognized for strengthening clinical teams, advancing nursing practice, and improving patient outcomes, including reducing hospital-acquired conditions and enhancing patient satisfaction. He also brings strong regional ties and a collaborative leadership style focused on supporting caregivers and ensuring patients receive safe, high-quality, and compassionate care close to home.
Donald Hayes
Chief Financial Officer
Donald Hayes brings more than 19 years of healthcare experience to WCCH. He has a strong record of accomplishment in financial accuracy with emphasis on multi-system interfacing, conversion/implementation of new systems and achieving facility operating/financial budget objectives. He has broad experience in financial reporting, analysis and budgeting. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Virginia College of Wise located in Wise, Virginia.
Rachel Nelson
People Services Director
Rachel is an accomplished Human Resources Director with five years of progressive experience in the healthcare setting. She leads HR operations with a strong focus on employee relations and engagement, playing a key role in fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture. With a strong commitment to fostering a culture of excellence, Nelson strives to align HR initiatives with WCCH’s mission of making communities healthier.
A Southwest Virginia native, Nelson and holds a strong commitment to serving the area she was raised in and still resides. Nelson is currently enrolled in a Master of Business Administration, demonstrating her commitment to continuous professional growth and leadership excellence in the dynamic healthcare environment.
Carla Eanes
Assistant Administrator
Born and raised in Wytheville, Carla has a strong understanding of and commitment to the healthcare needs of this community. With 7 years of healthcare experience, she is a growing leader looking to enhance operational efficiency and delivery of quality healthcare. Carla is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and has a passion for patient safety and incident management. She earned her Master of Business Administration degree, with a concentration in Healthcare, from Urbana University in Urbana, Ohio.
