Wythe County Community Hospital Embraces Run for the Wall Cyclists

May 26, 2025

WCCH's Lavonne Blessing, Sherri Case and Zane Perkins welcomed the 2025 Run for the Wall cyclists in Wytheville at Withers Park

More than 300 motorcycles rumbled into Wytheville recently as the annual Run for the Wall made a stop in town. Riders from across the country came together to honor veterans, support healing for those affected by war, and raise awareness for POWs and MIAs.

In its 35th year, the cross-country ride begins in California and ends at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., in time for Memorial Day. Wytheville’s stop has become a beloved tradition, warmly welcomed by the community each year.

Community members lined the streets with flags and cheers, while local groups offered meals, fuel, and heartfelt hospitality. It’s always an honor for Wythe County Community Hospital to participate in this powerful event.
