Wythe County Community Hospital and Wythe Physicians Practices Welcomes Bart Eastwood, DO Orthopedic Surgeon

WYTHEVILLE, VA – June 2026 – Wythe County Community Hospital (WCCH) is proud to announce that Bart Eastwood, DO, an experienced orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and joint care, will begin practicing under Wythe Physicians Practices – Orthopedic and Sports Medicine in August 2026.
For patients in Wytheville and the surrounding region, this transition means continued access to experienced orthopedic care they already know, now more closely connected with WCCH and its network of services.
Dr. Eastwood has been serving patients in the Wytheville community for the past three years and brings extensive experience in both surgical and non-surgical orthopedic care. His advanced training includes a sports medicine fellowship at Indiana University’s Methodist Sports Medicine program, where he worked with collegiate and professional athletes, including the Indianapolis Colts.
At WCCH, Dr. Eastwood focuses on helping patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and return to normal daily activities as safely and efficiently as possible. He works with each patient to develop a personalized treatment plan based on their condition, lifestyle, and recovery goals. His areas of expertise include:

Dr. Eastwood earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Nebraska Wesleyan University and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Des Moines University. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Ohio University and is board certified in orthopedic surgery, with a certificate of added qualification in sports medicine.
