February 12, 2025Wythe County Community Hospital team members gathered and packed meals recently in an effort to support Helping Overcome Poverty's Existence (HOPE) packs this week. WCCH staff proudly volunteers to help with HOPE Packs each month. HOPE Packs provides weekly supplemental food to any student within Wythe and the surrounding counties of Bland, Carroll, Grayson, Smyth, and the City of Galax. The Leapfrog Group is a nonprofit watchdog organization that serves as a voice for healthcare consumers. People say that rural hospitals do not have the same level of quality as larger facilities however all hospitals are graded using the same standards by Leapfrog. August 22, 2024Physicians, leaders and clinicians at Wythe County Community Hospital are proud to announce that Wythe Wound & Hyperbaric Medicine Center has been awarded the prestigious Robert A. Warriner III, M.D., Clinical Excellence Award by Healogics, the nation's largest provider of advanced wound care services. This Center has scored in the top 10 percent of eligible Healogics® Wound Care Centers® on the Clinical Excellence measure, which is the Comprehensive Healing Rate weighted by wound mix. This award is named for Dr. Robert A. Warriner III, a pioneer in wound care and the former Chief Medical Officer for Healogics.
